Apache ServiceMix is an open-source ESB implementation. It is JBI (Java Business Integration) compliant and comes with a lot of components for communicating with external systems (HTTP, JMS, FTP) as well as to build sophisticated SOA applications (Drools, Apache Camel, ...).

Our enablement program will provide you with all the skills and knowledge you require to successfully implement this technology in your environment.

As always, we start with a real-life business problem that needs solving. By the end of the program, the problem should be solved.

On day 1 of the program, participants

• get an overview of JBI and ServiceMix technology
• learn to run and manage the ESB
• learn how to build simple applications and flows

On the remaining days of the program, we will build a solution for the business problem. Whenever we encounter difficulties, this will give us an opportunity to focus on another feature of ServiceMix, to dig into the details of JBI messaging or web services, to look into supporting technologies such as Apache Camel or Apache ActiveMQ, ...

By the end of the program, we have a working solution for the business problem, but all participants have also gained the necessary knowledge and skills to keep on using Apache ServiceMix in their day-to-day work
